I found what I think are one
of the best lei makers in Hawaii. James & Lucy Key of Kamuela, Hawai`i make a beautiful lei with a
truly unique style. All of their leis are made with seed
and shells of Hawaii and of Ni`ihau. All of the leis are
crochet. The thickness of the lei as it starts
gradually gets thicker and it's fullest in the middle.
Then it reverts back to to the opposite end back to the
thickness as it started. The end result is beautiful and
I think you will see what I am talking about when you see the
pictures. When you purchase one of these leis, you will
be the envy of your friends! If you ever visit the
island of Hawaii, you can see the work of James & Lucy Key
across from the Farmers Market in Hilo Town, Hawaii.
