The white leghorn rooster was the first chicken to b effected by the Avian Flu.  This is the bird that was destroyed in the millions in China.  It has directly affected the feather industry.  Now, there have been leaps and bounds in methods used to replicate feathers dyed on white rooster tails.  Below are the current prices of white strung tail feathers and these prices are subject to change without notice.

A "Melanistic" Ringnecked pheasant is a pheasant that goes through a stage of color change.  Very few pheasants go through this change, therefore, these feathers are very rare.  The colors of a Chinese Ringnecked pheasant as you know, are the earth tone colors with green and white on the neck, blue on the scalp.  When the pheasant is a Melanistic, the colors of the earth tone change to an iridescent blue, green, purple, gold, and more!  They are magnificent in color and you can tell that God paid close attention to these birds to make them stand alone in brilliance.
