Pheasant
Shown here is a hybrid, or
melanistic Mongolian Ringneck Pheasant. This is a
very similar to the Chinese Ringneck Pheasant in habitat,
diet, size and feather pattern. The "hybrid" is one that
goes through color change and sometimes looses pattern on the
feather as well. Depending on the change and color
variation, you will get dark green, brown/green, blue, purple,
black and other variations. The color change is magical
in the complete new changeover that nature provides. You
will go through hundreds of pelts and not find one of these
hybrids. I was able to locate a small quantity and I am
making some available.
