Shown here is the Himalayan Monal Pheasant (national bird of Nepal). This is definitely one of the most beautiful pheasants of the world. It displays it's metallic colors of green, Bronze, blue, purple and more. You can see for yourself! The Impeyan pheasant makes it's home in the Himalayas from east Afghanistan to west China. They live in mountain regions in elevations up to 14 thousand feet in elevation during the summer, and during the winters, they find themselves in rocky grass covered meadows in mixed forests. During the winter is when the pheasant was captured for it's beauty and kept in captivity for royalty. The name "Impeyan" was used as the pheasants were captured for the Lady Impey. This pheasant is considered stable in it's natural habitat but very rare in this form.
