The Peacock Collection is a selection of beautiful Peacock feather lei hatbands
of all types of Peacocks, from all over the world. Most
of the feathers used in these presentations are collected from
Aviaries all around the country. The feathers are
naturally molted and collected, or the bird dies of natural
causes and the feathers are harvested then.
Shown here is a not so traditional gold peacock
feather lei hatband. This feather lei hatband is made
with the gold feathers from the lower back of the India Blue
Peacock. This feather lei hatband has over 1,875 feathers
tightly arranged to give the effect of fish scales or snake
skin. The black edges of the scallop shaped feathers stitched
closely together covers much of the beautiful color of the
feather. But just enough shows to give off the bright color
of the gold and always get the crowd talking.
This feather lei hatband is sewn onto
a felt base measuring 26" long (25" of feathers) and
approximately 2" wide. This feather lei has approximately
1,875 feathers and over 9,375stitches. A unique feather lei

The pictures below are nice but, to see it in person is
another story! This feather lei hatband is 26" long (25" of
feathers) and about 2" wide. It has hundreds of feathers and
over thousands of stitches. This is currently a one of a
kind feather lei hatband and I am not sure if I will ever have
an opportunity to get this particular breed of Java Green
Peacock pelt again.

Shown here is the India Blue Peacock, Gold
lei humu papa. The shimmering gold color that
radiates from this feather gives off the effect of gold
itself. The gold feathers used in this lei comes from a
small patch of feathers on the lower back of the peacock.
These gold feathers gradually get bigger as they flow towards
the tail and eventually turn into the tail feathers.
This feather lei hatband is hand sew onto a felt base and is
25" long (24" of feathers) and approximately 1 1/2" wide. This

collect. You can gather them by picking through
thousands of blue feathers to get enough to make one green
